We are Scott and Shannon! We are a newly married couple from Seattle, Washington (with Midwestern roots). We love adventuring together with our two favorites being backpacking and skiing. We recently quit our jobs and decided that now was as good a time as any to leave normal life behind and travel the world. Pretty crazy, huh? Well...yeah.
Our hopes and goals for the trip are to experience cultures more fully (i.e. more than "vacation" mode), learn some new languages, serve, and open our mind to what the world has to offer. Through all this, we hope to grow individually and in our marriage relationship. Our blog is designed to keep our family and friends up-to-date on our travels, but we also hope that it provides a little insight into our experiences. :)
